The Government Information (Public Access) Regulation 2018 declares EnergyCo to be part of the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). This means that DCCEEW manages compliance with Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act) on behalf of EnergyCo.
DCCEEW aims to release as much government information as possible to meet the obligations under the GIPA Act. The information is published on the DCCEEW website and you can find out more information about the information access, governance as well as feedback for DCCEEW on their website.
Open access information
Under the GIPA Act, certain information is required by law to be available, free of charge. This information is called "open access information" and includes:
- policy documents and tabled documents
- agency information guide
- disclosure log
- register of government contracts.

Treasury Circular TC22-01 Statutory Acts of Grace Payment requires the Board to publish statutory acts of grace payment information on EnergyCo’s website.
